Our Advisory Group
🧠Shaping Our Future Together ðŸ§

At Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity, we believe that the voices of those with lived experience should be at the heart of everything we do. Our Advisory Group is a vital part of that commitment. It brings together people who have been personally (or professionally) affected by a brain tumour—whether as patients, loved ones, or carers—to guide and shape our work.

By sharing their insight, group members help us:
-
Improve and refine the services we offer
-
Identify gaps and emerging needs within the community
-
Coproduce our future direction and priorities
-
Stay grounded in what truly matters to those we support
Thanks to Advisory Group feedback, we’ve already:
-
Adjusted our communications strategy to better meet people where they are, focusing on more accessible channels and clearer signposting to support
-
Actively developed plans to expand support groups and outreach in under-represented areas across Yorkshire
-
Shaped our thinking around future fundraising activities to reflect what truly matters to our community
-
Improved visibility and accessibility of our services, online and offline
We want to make sure everyone affected by a brain tumour in Yorkshire has a voice. Could you help us shape the future?
The Advisory Group meets once a month, with the option to join either in person or online. Meetings are informal, inclusive, and designed to fit around your existing commitments. If you’re interested in getting involved or would like to find out more, please call 0113 511 8111 or email david@yorksbtc.org.uk to express your interest or to get more information.
