Leave a Legacy. Change Lives in Yorkshire.

Leaving a gift in your Will to Yorkshire's Brain Tumour Charity is one of the most powerful ways to support people facing brain tumours – now and for generations to come.

Why Leave a Gift?

Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40. Yet research is underfunded, and families are often left to cope alone.

By remembering Yorkshire's Brain Tumour Charity in your Will, you can help us fund vital support and life-changing research across Yorkshire.

A Mother’s Legacy: Joy’s Story

Joy Smith is one of the many remarkable people choosing to leave a legacy. Her beloved son, Gareth, was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma and cared for by our Trustee and Lead Clinician, Dr Sue Picton. Gareth sadly died in 2000, but his memory lives on through Joy's generous decision to support brain tumour research through her Will.

“Gareth was diagnosed just before his 11th birthday, and it breaks my heart that his life was cut so short by a brain tumour. I think of all the things he never had the chance to do. I’m leaving a gift in my Will to support research because I don’t want other children or families to go through what we did. If it can help even one child have a future, then it’s worth it”

As Joy prepares her Will, she’s ensuring Gareth’s legacy will continue to make a difference — and you can do the same. For more information on Joy's story please click here.

Reflect Your Values

Whether you want to support research, fund peer support groups, or provide hardship grants for families, your gift can be restricted to the area that means the most to you. We will work with you to honour your wishes.

You can leave a fixed sum, a share of your estate, or whatever’s left after loved ones are cared for. Even 1% can make a huge difference.
