About the event
Here at Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity, we understand the power of peer support and the benefits of getting out in nature. We host accessible, peer support walks across the whole of Yorkshire for those families, friends and loved ones affected by brain tumours.
The walks are a place to engage with those in similar circumstances, practice mindfulness and explore nature in many beautiful settings that are also wheelchair friendly and accessible to all. We finish all our walks with a cuppa and a slice of cake, the perfect ending to a wonderful afternoon.
'Golden Acre Park is free to access, and combined with the beautiful landscape and on-site café makes it a great choice for a day out.
Smell the roses, stroll in the cherry orchids and wildflower meadows, admire the glorious plant demonstrations and limescale and sandstone rock gardens. Explore the woodland and spot critters in the undergrowth.
