Peer Support - Volunteer Role

We deliver supportive peer support groups throughout all of Yorkshire. To enable us to deliver these plans, we're looking for peer support volunteers to help support our groups.

What does the role involve?

Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity is a small charity with big ambitions. We support brain tumour patients/families in Yorkshire and invest in pioneering research. This volunteer role represents a fantastic opportunity to help us in deliver our peer support strategy in our region.

We are expanding the reach of our peer groups, to ensure that we can provide peer support to brain tumour patients and families across all areas of Yorkshire! To assist us with this, we are currently seeking volunteers in Leeds, Hull and York.

Our peer support groups provide a safe space for those affected by brain tumours to come together, support one another and share their experiences, all facilitated by one of our amazing volunteers.

If you are a good active listener, empathetic, organised and can commit to one half day a month we would love to hear from you. We will provide full training, support from our Support Lead and regular check-ins and supervision.

Please contact Amy on 0113 511 8111 or at ybtcsupport@yorksbtc.org.uk to find out more.
