About the event

Here at Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity, we understand the power of peer support and the benefits of getting out in nature. We host accessible, peer support walks across the whole of Yorkshire for those families, friends and loved ones affected by brain tumours.

The walks are a place to engage with those in similar circumstances, practice mindfulness and explore nature in many beautiful settings that are also wheelchair friendly and accessible to all. We finish all our walks with a cuppa and a slice of cake, the perfect ending to a wonderful afternoon.

'Once known as one of the deepest open cast coal mines in the country reaching a depth of 250 feet, Anglers Country Park has since flourished into a beautiful haven for wildlife including many migratory birds. Anglers Country Park has been awarded Green Flag status – recognising it as one of the best parks in the country…
