Event Assistant - Volunteer Role
We deliver a range of engaging events throughout all of Yorkshire. To enable us to deliver these plans, we're looking for volunteer Events Assistants to join our team.
What does the role involve?
Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity is a small charity with big ambitions. We support brain tumour patients/families in Yorkshire and invest in pioneering research in our region. This volunteer role represents a fantastic opportunity to support us in delivering our scheduled events for the year. Our events range from running or cycling challenges, family fun days, fairs, car boot sales, running stalls at our Christmas Fair, a glamourous 'Step Into Strictly' dancing show and other events that aim to bring people affected by a brain tumour together.
Please see below for examples of roles we require assistance for:

- Manning check points
- Walking support (for fundraisers on sponsored walks to ensure that everyone is on the right track)
- First Aid support (qualified first aiders who will be able to look after anyone)
- Marshals
- Support drivers

Joining us as an Event Assistant could be a great opportunity to meet new people, build your CV, learn new skills, and give back by helping such a worthwhile charity. And don't worry about over-committing yourself - this role is a casual arrangement, allowing you to choose which/how many events you would like to volunteer at. We really appreciate any support you can offer, and we'll ensure you feel fully prepared and supported for the job in hand.
Please call 0113 340 0111 for a friendly chat or email fiona@yorksbtc.org.uk to request an application form.
