What can I bring to No 31?
At our charity shop, No 31 Otley Road, Headingley, we can accept:
Our opening times are Monday - Saturday, 10am - 4.30pm.
What can I recycle elsewhere?
The following everyday items can be recycled at other Ellie's Fund drop off points across the country, or via post. Only certain types of items are accepted and our sponsors have set weight limits for each type of waste. Please click on the item below for more information and the specific minimum and maximum weight requirements and which specific types of these items we can collect:
Please note the maximum box size for all waste streams is 60x60x50cm. The maximum weight is 20kg, except for pens which is 25kg.
Where do I send my recycling?
If you collect under the minimum weight for each item (click on the items above to find out what this is) then you can take a look at our different drop-off points throughout the UK here.
Once you have collected over the minimum weight (click on the items above to find out what this is) please email recycling@elliesfund.com to get hold of a label and send your recycling bundles directly to our sponsor to be turned into £££s for Ellie’s Fund.
Make a note of the reference number on your postage label, the date you shipped your parcel and which waste stream it was. This allows us to track your parcel via our Terracycle account. We can then find out how much you have raised overall, and send a thank you!
Please direct all recycling enquires to recycling@elliesfund.com and our team of volunteers will respond to your enquiry within 5 working days.

What happens to my recycling?
We send all the recycling to a depot in the North West of England where it is cleaned before being chipped or "extruded" into pellets. These pellets are then used to make other items, like watering cans, benches, ping-pong tables, raised flower beds and more.
Once finished with, these items can go through the process again so that plastic is never sent to landfill.
We are paid by the weight of items we send for recycling, subject to minimum weight and strict box sizes (set by each sponsor) and have raised more than £65,000 to date!
