Our volunteers are really special. They give us their time and skills to support YBTC in many different ways. Without them, we could not provide support or fund research; they are vital to everything we do.
Volunteering with us might involve working in our office, taking calls on our support line, marshalling at events, hosting a Friends Get-together in your area, helping out at our charity shop at No 31 Otley Rd, Headingley or a host of other activities! Whatever skills you have to offer, we would be grateful for your help and happy to welcome you as part of #TeamYBTC.
Why should I volunteer for YBTC?
Here's what some of our lovely volunteers had to say about volunteering with YBTC:
Marie: "I love working at No 31. The café makes it very special as it
enables us to talk to people, especially the patients and their families who call in. From day one, the shop has had a
great atmosphere with a bunch of really
friendly, talented and dedicated people working in it. My family was so lucky as my husband made a full recovery following his Hemanglioblastoma diagnosis. I feel that, by volunteering at No 31, I am repaying that by helping by
helping towards the research and care for others who are not so lucky yet."
Beth: "
I'm so proud to say I volunteer in the YBTC shop as the charity is so important to me and my family. It's been an incredible experience that I've learnt so much from,
it's a joy to work in such a friendly environment!"
Ruth: "I love volunteering as it's such a
worthwhile, important charity and all the staff are great. I've seen first-hand all the good the charity does, just in the short time I've been associated with it."
