Event Assistant - Volunteer Role


We're looking for volunteers to help us out at a range of events this year.
 

What does the role involve?
 
We will send you a list of all our events for the year. You can choose which events you would like to volunteer at – you can do as many as you like. You may prefer to help every now and then or have a more structured role with set days and times – it all helps!
 
Our events range from running or cycling challenges, family fun days, fairs, car boot sales, running stalls at our Christmas fair, a glamourous Step into Strictly dancing show and other events that aim to bring people affected by a brain tumour together.

As an event volunteer your role could involve: 
  • Meeting and greeting guests
  • Marshalling at a challenge event along the route and cheering on our participants
  • Running a stall – selling our merchandise, running a tombola or raffle to raise money
  • Selling raffle tickets
  • Serving light refreshments
  • Helping to set up or dismantle tables, chairs, equipment etc
All volunteers will be fully briefed before any event. We'll give you some key facts about the charity, just in case anyone asks, but there will always be a member of staff or other volunteers on hand to help! And it goes without saying that your safety will always be our priority.
