A huge THANK YOU to all our corporate supporters, some of whom are detailed below. Without you, we wouldn't be able to support the people who need us.

Corporate and Other Organisational Support

Kempadoo Millar

The incredibly talented Rhian Kempadoo Millar has been supporting YBTC for several years with our Flat Cap Friday campaign, selecting our winners and creating their beautiful flat caps as well as raising the profile of our campaign to her customers. We are thrilled to have her continued support!

National Tube Stockholders

National Tube Stockholders have been supporting YBTC for several years, with many members of the team donning their running shoes and taking part in several events including the Darlington 10k, York 10k and the Great North Run. They have also supported the charity with several in office fundraisers, as well as donating their change in our Jam Jar campaign.

Motive8 gym in Leeds have been a phenomenal support to BTRS over the last few years, having raised over £8,000 for the charity already! They are continuing to support BTRS throughout 2020 and will be tackling Total Warrior, Leeds 10K and the Yorkshire Day Skydive as well as hosting their infamous pub quiz!

Fine Indian Dining

We are delighted to welcome our new corporate supporter, Bobby Geetha, who was a Masterchef finalist in season 8. Bobby trained in Michelin Star restaurants and has published two cook books.

Bobby heads up the world's only food magazine edited and run by a professional chef.

South Bradford Golf Club

South Bradford Golf Club chose to support YBTC as their charity of the year for 2019 and planned a range of exciting fundraising activities throughout the year. They have also displayed several collection tins locally to help raise funds and awareness of the charity.

SmartWatch Solutions

Our managing director, Martin, was diagnosed with a Grade 2 brain tumour in October 2015. He started treatment straight away, which successfully reduced the size of the tumour from the size of a golf ball to virtually nothing. Smartwatch gets behind all YBTC's fundraising events, as well as coming up with great ways to support us as a team at work. Their mantra is "Live life to the full!"

Chauvet is dedicated to creating customer-driven solutions in the world of professional lighting. Established in1990 by entrepreneurs Albert and Berenice Chauvet, the company started as a distributor of rope lights. It has since grown into a global brand with offices in Florida, California, Belgium, Germany, France, Mexico and the United Kingdom. Michael Brooksbank, MD for Chauvet Europe, said, “Having seen a family member go through the ordeal of a having a brain tumour and all the distressing complications it brings, I am pleased to have found a local charity that helps to make things a bit easier for families like mine. I am delighted to support YBTC, both personally and professionally, and pledge to help wherever we can with entertainment sponsorship and technical expertise at their events.”

We Are In Business

YBTC is now a proud member of We Are In Business, a fantastic group of local business people, with the emphasis on connecting and supporting each other. They have cleverly adapted their networking for the current climate and we have found it is a great fit for us. So much support has already come from the group in the form of business advice, donations and fundraising. Since we joined, founders Tracey and Ian Earl have started a “thank you” initiative, pledging to donate £25 to one of their nominated charities, YBTC or Martin House Hospice, whenever an existing member signs a new member up to the group. Tracey said, “Welcome on board! We are very proud to say that YBTC is the first charity to join In Business and we have lots of ideas for getting our members involved in fundraising and supporting the charity.”

Sacco Mann

We chose to support YBTC as over recent years we have had some of our colleagues affected by brain tumours and wanted to help in any way that we could. Almost every one of our colleagues knows someone who has been affected by brain tumours (directly and indirectly) and we thought YBTC, as a local charity, seemed like a very worthy cause of support.

The Alternative Board

Until our friend and one of the founders of The Alternative Board (UK), Paul Dickinson, was diagnosed with a brain tumour, YBTC wasn’t really on our radar.  We lost Paul very quickly after diagnosis and the impact of his passing hit us hard.  It’s a shame that it sometimes takes something like this to bring awareness to great charities like YBTC.  However, we hope our support of YBTC can help others like Paul.

Scarborough Digital

We love it when local businesses help us to keep our costs to a minimum. Scarborough Digital has very kindly supported us recently with the printing of our 2019 Impact Report. Jim Grieve, CEO at Scarborough Digital said, “As keen supporters of YBTC, we wanted to help them save money by providing them with high quality printed accounts to send out to potential funders. Every little helps in the current climate and we are pleased to be able to do our bit.”

Headingley Golf Club

Kimberley Hill made history in 2020 when she became the first female Captain at Headingley in its 127-year history. She said, “Every year the Golf Club Captain chooses a charity for their year of office, and I have chosen YBTC for personal reasons having lost my daughter to Cancer a few years ago.  The golf club will be raising funds for the Charity through a number of different ways: sale of Yorkshire flat caps, monthly cake sale, nominated charity bunker & ditches on the course, plus the Captain's Charity AMAM event.”
