How you can get involved

Whether you get involved in one of our fundraising campaigns, come along to an event or organise your own in support of Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity, every penny you raise will enable to us to provide emotional, practical, and financial support as well as fund life changing research right here in Yorkshire.

It's our birthday!

On 12th February 2021 we celebrated 18 years of being a registered charity. This year we have lots to celebrate, so join us to raise funds so that we can continue our vital work.

Our trustee and ambassador Christine is celebrating a significant birthday this year. Instead of gifts she is asking her family and friends to donate to YBTC. You could do this for your birthday, wedding, anniversary, or another special occasion.

Brain Tumour Awareness Month

March is national brain tumour awareness month. To raise awareness and funds for YBTC join in with our Flat Cap Friday campaign, read more about how to get involved HERE.

Spare a Thought for people affected by a brain tumour

Our ‘Spare a Thought’ campaign is all about the little things you can do to make a difference.
You don't have to run a marathon, cycle hundreds of miles or jump out of an aeroplane to fight for change. If you are passionate about supporting our cause, there are so many waysyou can help. From collecting spare change in an empty jam jar, to setting up a monthly donation it all makes a huge difference.

Read more about our jam jar campaign and get your sticker HERE. You can read more about setting up a monthly donation HERE.

If you have a love of the great outdoors, regularly cycle or run, enjoy walking or want to completely let your hair down and do something crazy for charity - we have a number of active events that may interest you! From sponsored walks to zip wires, our big bike challenge to jumping out of a plane – we have something for everyone of any age and fitness level!

David ran the equivalent of the Great North Run in his home county of Yorkshire when the real event was cancelled due to the pandemic. It may not have brought the same crowds but his family, friends, furry companions, our YBTC ambassadors and staff turned out to cheer him on!
