On 3rd September we held our YBTC golf day at Headingley Golf Club. The day wouldn't have been so brilliant without our amazing sponsors, and everyone who donated prizes or entered a team.
Here are the winning teams and their scores – well done to all!
Stag Sports - 1st prize
Laurus BAS - 2nd prize
Concept Tiling - 3rd prize
We were delighted that one of YBTC's founders, trustee and neurosurgeon Paul Chumas, found time after a busy day at the hospital to come and award the prizes.
We'd like to thank
Bleiker's Smokehouse for providing refreshments for all our golfers at the Halfway House and the buffet at the club house, and Karen Harrison for all the food prep. Thank you to
Stag Sports for sponsoring our putting competition and donatng bespoke golf tops for all our winners and to
Slingsby Gin for kindly sponsoring our Nearest the Pin competition and donating gin for our prize winners and all the goody bags.
Thank you to
Krispy Kreme for donating five trays of donuts to give away as prizes, and to our ambassador Lucinda Thompson for picking these up fresh from the factory for us!
Thank you to
B's Cakes & Bakes for providing some YBTC-themed cupcakes.
Thank you to
Rais Hasan for taking such fantastic pictures as the day unfolded.
Last but by no means least, thank you to
Headingley Golf Club for all their support in organising and running the day as well as being so generous with the prizes. The club has been incredibly supportive of YBTC in recent years; Kimberley Hill raised a phenomenal £5,141.84 for us during her year as captain. We're so grateful that the club's Head Greenkeeper, Jaime, suggested holding this event and hope there will be many more in the future!
