Imogen's Creative Cards
Imogen's Creative Cards
Tue 06 April
Imogen from Ilkley, aged 13, has created a range of greetings cards on her iPad at home. Her hand drawn beautiful homemade cards have been made using an Apple pen and a lot of love.
I
mogen said: “I decided to make the cards because as part of my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award we are required to do volunteering work and I also wanted to help other people. I have created a Just Giving page online so that anyone can make a donation in return for a pack of cards. I chose to donate the money to Yorkshire's Brain Tumour Charity in memory of my Granny, Bridget Hilton, who sadly died of a brain tumour 3 years ago. My Granny died of a brain tumour only 6 weeks after being diagnosed. She was an amazing person and a fantastic artist and musician. She inspired my love of drawing, painting and helping others and we drew a great deal together. I would like to raise money for brain tumour research and also to help care for people who are suffering.”

Jen Aspinall, Community Fundraiser at YBTC said: “Every penny raised from donations will go to the charity and Imogen hopes to raise at least £120 by June 2021. Imogen has combined her love of drawing and her creative skills, shared with her beloved Granny, to do something to raise money to support others who have been affected by a brain tumour. It is extremely caring and thoughtful, and we cannot thank her enough. Her support is very much appreciated. We would love to help Imogen raise as much as possible so please purchase your cards online.”
