We'd like to thank everyone who helped us to get our
Crowdfunder campaign off the ground in October. Thanks to your generosity, we raised an incredible
£1,119, which will help us to keep expanding our support across Yorkshire.
After a successful start, our Crowdfunder campaign has been re-opened for a second round of fundraising.
This time we have added some brand new
rewards for our supporters. When you donate £5, £10 or £20, we will send a
YBTC Christmas card to your loved one, wishing them a Merry Christmas and letting them know a donation has been made on their behalf.
Simply select your preferred reward and check out. We will soon be in touch to find out your loved one's contact details in order to deliver the card to them.
This is a fantastic way to send a little Christmas cheer to someone you love, while also making a difference to the patients, carers and loved ones we support.
What's more, every donation made between now and
Friday 17th December will be
matched by the National Emergencies Trust, meaning your pennies and pounds will go even further! However much you are able to spare will make a huge difference to the families we support.
Christmas can be a challenging and lonely time for everyone, and particularly for families who have been shaken by a brain tumour diagnosis. We want to make sure we are there for anyone who has been impacted by a brain tumour over the holidays, when other services may have been put on pause.
This might involve running our 7-days-a-week support phoneline, providing a meal for a support group member at our Christmas party, or making sure every child we support gets a special gift from Santa.
Your donations can help make this happen. For example:
-
£5 could cover the cost of giving a young patient or family member a gift from Santa
-
£20 could fund a place at our Christmas meal for one of our support group members
-
£50 could cover the cost of an hour’s counselling session for someone who is struggling at Christmas
-
£100 could help us to run our support telephone line for 24 hours, ensuring patients and their loved ones always have someone to reach out to
As you can see, your generous donations really do make a difference.
