Have you ever considered taking on a big challenge for a charity you care about, but dismissed the idea because you've never felt you could? We're here today to help you dispel the myth that you can't do it.
Marathons, mountain climbing, bike rides and sky dives are incredibly daunting, especially for people who might not be so active during their day-to-day lives.
But every day we see amazing people achieve increadible feats, all by believing in themselves and setting their minds to reaching their goals.
Take Liz Roscoe for example. She was one of those people who didn't believe she could. Prior to committing to doing a triatholon for BTRS, she had never done anything similar before. Although she found it incredibly hard, she was spurred on by the knowledge that she was raising money for other families that were struggling like her.
In her own words, this is why her challenge matters, and why you can do anything you set your mind to as well.
“I wanted to raised money for Brain Tumour Research and Support Across Yorkshire (BTRS), as this evil disease has affected someone I love so very much and has changed my life forever.
It was a real physical and mental challenge for me, and very emotional to see my other half at the finish line, but I was determined to tackle it for such an amazing cause.
So far I’ve smashed my original target of £200 and raised over £500!!!! Thank you to everyone for their support!”
