Group Wellbeing Walks
Group Wellbeing Walks
Join us on a guided walk at a nature park or beautiful open space near you, a chance to relax, socialise and take some much-needed me-time.
Led by an expert guide and
open to all adults affected by a brain tumour
(including patients, carers and loved ones), these walks are a great chance to:
feel the invigorating health benefits of walking and talking outdoors
combat depression, anxiety and stress and think more clearly
meet with family and peers in a relaxing environment
have regular wellbeing time and space just for you
There is no pressure to chat if you don't feel like it; the focus is on boosting wellbeing through good company, fresh air and gentle exercise.
You will be taken on a
leisurely, low-level walk
for around 1-1.5 hours (the route will usually be around 2.5 miles). Each walk will start and end at the venue's café and we hope walkers will join us for a relaxing, well-deserved drink afterwards.
The routes are suitable for beginner walkers, but unfortunately unsuitable for those in a wheelchair. Any members of your party who would
prefer not to take part in the walk
are welcome to stay at the café with a member of the YBTC team for a chat and a cuppa.
If you have any issues with arranging transportation to the venue, please
get in touch
and we can arrange a lift. To contact us, email
support@yorksbtc.org.uk
or call 0113 340 0111.
Spaces are free but
must be booked in advance
. To come along to one of our walks, please click the links below.
