Covid-19 Vaccinations

We wanted to share with you some information regarding the covid19 vaccination and how this impacts you the patient.

Last year, certain people were classified by the government as vulnerable and were asked to shield.

This meant that some of those people we support received a letter asking them to stay at home during the peak of the pandemic to protect them and their loved ones from being infected with coronavirus.

This letter was issued as a result of certain medications or vulnerabilities that meant you needed to shield from the general population.

Now the vaccine is becoming more available, you may be wondering if you qualify for the vaccination but may not have received your letter from your GP.

The advice is to not contact your GP to find out if you qualify, information can be found on the NHS official website if you have any further questions - CLICK HERE.

If you are currently undergoing chemotherapy, you do qualify, and you will be contacted shortly to arrange an appointment to receive the vaccination, as announced by the government today.
