Paula Dalton

Welcome, thank you for taking the time to read a little about me and how I came to work for such a wonderful charity.

I qualified as a counsellor in November 2010, so I’m almost celebrating my 10th year. My life as a trainee counsellor began volunteering for various charities including the Well Women Centre in Wakefield, and the Sir Robert Ogden, Macmillan Centre based at St. James’s Hospital in Leeds. Along the way, I have also worked with people who have experienced a child death, drug and alcohol addiction and many other areas within my private practice. I joined YBTC in January 2014 to help set up and support the therapeutic side of the charity, where I continue to provide counselling and hypnotherapy.

Alongside my private practice, I am also a freelance trainer for Leeds Bereavement Forum. My role encourages meaningful conversations regarding death, dying and loss, so we can reduce the stigma and loneliness that often accompanies a bereavement.
